Audience | The audience are the recipients of a particular campaign. We refer to audiences being ‘built’ through ‘logic’ whereby particular individuals are included and excluded from the audience based on certain facts. For example, by where they live, how they answered in a particular campaign or a combination of these. |
Custom field | Have full reign over the data you utilise in Movement by setting up custom fields to help you build audience and effectively target campaigns. |
Everyone | All individuals within Movement including members of your organisation, ex-members and non-members. A non-member might be a supporter of your organisation, for example, someone who supports your campaigns but is not a registered member. Any individual may be subscribed or not. |
Filter | Filters allow sorting by a particular field. This can be applied when creating audiences, searching campaigns or editing entry rules. |
List | A list is a manual upload of individuals from a CSV, which contains at least one of: membership number, phone number or email. These manually uploaded lists can be used to create an audience. For example, you may create a list from a CSV of people who attended a particular event. |
Member detail updates | The tab contains the list of members who have updated their details through Movement Verify as well as the option to export those details into a CSV. |
Members | An individual within Movement that is part of your organisation, for example, a member of a union or political party. They may be subscribed or not. |
Nested group | When building an audience or editing entry rules for an automation, a nested group allows you to add multiple criteria and select if all or any of the criteria within the group have to be met. |
Supporters | Supporters are anyone else on your list - e.g. people who come to a your trade union event and want to be contacted but aren't members of your trade union. |
Upload | A manual upload of individuals from a CSV, which contains at least membership numbers if you are just updating existing members and membership numbers, first names and last names if you upload new people, and updating existing people. |
Use search | You can use the search from your quick start audiences as a basis to build new audiences. |
